ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hi! I am Dauphine de Koning, a Dutch illustrator based in the Netherlands.

I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, as I picked up my first pencil before I could talk. I have always enjoyed it as my favorite hobby, which eventually developed into my profession as a fashion illustrator working with brands and creative projects, after graduating in Illustration at the HKU in Utrecht in 2018.

MY WORK

My work can best be described as feminine and elegant, with a focus on detail and a subtle sense of glamour.

I am especially drawn to fashion, beauty and lifestyle, with a focus on feminine figures, fashion illustrations and romantic, atmospheric scenes.

Over the years, I have worked on a wide range of projects, from campaigns and illustrations for packaging to visual contributions for events. I also create live illustrations at events, where I draw guests on the spot. From face portraits to full fashion figures, and even personalised items such as bags, beauty products or Christmas ornaments.

HOW I WORK

What I enjoy most is translating an idea into a visual image, but even more than that, I enjoy thinking along with a client. I like to explore ideas together, whether there is already a clear concept or just the beginning of one. I find a lot of value in collaboration and active creative exchange.

I am always open to new projects and collaborations, whether it starts with a clear idea or just the beginning of one.
